What makes our rears burn even more is having to flip through the tabloids or scroll through blogs of star kids that have done nothing to earn credit for themselves, rather their lives spiral around living in the shadow of their parents, who most certainly have done exceptionally well in life to put them in that position. It’s kind of aggravating some times to come across their names for the silliest of reasons. Well it’s not really their fault to be honest, rather the gossip columns sometimes cannot spring up anything controversial to gets their material sold and in turn cover useless stories that we probably wouldn’t give a damn about. Well, that’s that, and sometimes we have to learn to live with the fact that we have to make our way up the ladder. And if you think I’m one frustrated writer venting his anger on kids who are just born fortunate, well the truth is I’m not. In fact, I’m here to talk about one star kid, who unlike similar kids like him – who have thrashed hotels just because they have the funds to cover the damage and have been caught in scandalous acts, this kid was born to the rich of the rich, yet has maintained his dignity and is slowly making his way to molding a respectable stature for himself. By the way, we’re referring to the boy you probably have spotted sitting in the dugout of the Mumbai Indians cricket team – Akash Ambani. Who Are The Ambani’s?
Akash is the eldest son of Reliance Industries Ltd‘s chairman, Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani. For the past ten years Mukesh has been named by Forbes as the richest Indian and the second richest Asian. With a value of $20 billion plus, Mukesh is regarded by Forbes as the “68 people who matter most” and ranked the 36th most powerful person in the world.

Back in 1981, Mukesh dropped out of Harvard College to come back to India to assist his father, Dhirubhai Ambani, in initiating his father’s company Reliance in shifting from textiles to polyester fibers and eventually branching into petrochemicals.
He became a multi-billionaire when he started a petroleum refinery in Jamnagar, India. The refinery produced 660,000 barrels per day, making Reliance Petroleum one of the leading producers of fuel in the country.

Officially known as Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL), the brand deals with digital services, broadband services and mobile telephonic communications. Reliance Jio acquired Infotel Broadband Services Limited for Rs. 4,800cr as its broadband spectrum covered 22 important zones in India, and that boosted Jio’s spread over the country. The broadband service offered by Jio cover areas like instant messaging, music streaming, Live Television and a digital payment platform.

The company has already covered 250,000 kilometers with optic fiber cables and is the process of roping small competitors into the fold to increase its reach to people all across India.
In an attempt to advertise their brand and get support of the public even before its launch, Jio offered free Wi-Fi to spectators at the world T20 cricket world cup at the Wankhede Stadium, Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, Eden Gardens and the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium. Though the brand was supposed to be launched in 2015, some technical and procedural issues barred it from being launched at the specified time but it was finally launched to the Indian public in on September 5, 2016.
Heir to Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), in an interview to a Times of India publication, Akash says, “My legacy only motivates me, I wouldn’t say it weighs on me. He further adds, “So far my experience (at Jio) has been incredible. It’s a lifetime opportunity to contribute to one of the largest rollouts of digital services in the world,”.

Rumor has it that Mukesh Ambani’s eldest son was involved in a high-speed accident in his Aston Martin. The car apparently hurtled down Peddar Street, Mumbai, lost control and slammed into an Audi A6 and a Skoda Sedan. The next day, one of the workers of Ambani’s, Mr. Joshi aged 55, claimed responsibility for the accident though a witness spotted a young boy speeding in the car before its collision. The incident was sooner than expected watered down and not even the police made anything of it despite being poked by the media. No one was injured or killed and the very next day, owners of the Audi and Skoda received brand new cars with upgrades at their door step.

All in all, stepping into such a pivotal position in a multi-billion company is no joke but like father like son, Akash too has stepped up to ensure the sustenance of his family business.
