1. Javed Iqbal Moghul
Touted to be one of the most notorious killers Asia has ever seen, this maniac had apparently butchered over a hundred children, with all his victims being boys. Investigations revealed that Moghul used to allure young boys, subject them to sexual violence and severe torture before shredding their bodies into tiny pieces before disposing their bodies. It is believed that the man used to melt the flesh using hydrochloric acid and dump the residual remains of his victims into a river.

2. John Wayne Gacy
Wayne, who murdered around 33 people in a matter of six years, was known for his unusual style of alluring his victims. Wayne used to dress up like a clown and attract young men and boys to his home and then brutally murder them. Gacy was later imprisoned and executed by the officials in 1994 by injecting him with a lethal drug.

3. The Son of Sam
This man, named David Berkowitz sent shivers down the spine of New Yorkers during the 1970’s by going on a killing spree, leading to the death of six individuals. ‘Son of Sam’, as he is infamously known, later claimed that he was ordered by a demon to commit the murders. Most of his victims were shot, while they were sitting in stationary cars.

4. Andrei Chikatilo
Also known by aliases such as the ‘Butcher of Rostov’ and the ‘Red Ripper’, this Ukranian man gained notoriety for killing more than 53 people, most of whom were women and kids. It is believed that he achieved an orgasm only after stabbing his female victims and then attempting an intercourse on them, which led to most of the murders. This was the motivation behind most of his murders. Chikatilo was executed in 1994 after being shot behind his head by the authorities.

5. Luis Garavito
A noted figure in Columbia, this South American man is responsible for the gruesome butchering of around 138 people in his country. Most of the Garvaito’s victims’ carcasses which were recovered had slit throats. He was then awarded a 30-year- term by the judiciary for his horrific crimes.

6. Ted Bundy
Bundy is one of the most dreaded criminals in American history and the infamous episodes of his crimes are also famous in other parts of the world. During the 1970’s he raped and killed dozens of women, a crime he confessed about only a year later. He was then subjected to death, as per the sentence awarded by the judiciary, in 1989.

7. Wayne Williams
Wayne is one of the prime accused behind the freaky ‘Atlanta Murders of 1979-81’, who has been sentenced to imprisonment for at least 23 murders of the 29 individuals who lost their lives during their period.

8. Dr. Harold Shipman
A doctor by profession, Dr. Harold Shipman was found guilty of more than 250 cases of murder. His targets were mostly his women patients who were heirs of significant amount of wealth. Shipman would inject incredibly high doses of drugs like Diamorphine in their blood which would lead to their demise. He would then try his best to extract all their earnings by impersonating the victim’s identities on their wills. Shipman committed suicide in 2004 at a prison at a very ripe age.

9. Tsutomu Miyazaki
His interest in little girls prompted Tsutomu to abduct and slaughter four young females in Japan. He even preserved a few parts of their bodies as a mark of his achievement. Policemen recovered many videotapes of violent movies from his residence, which is said to have been the inspiration for his crimes.

10. Pedro Alonso Lopez
This Colombian man has made more than 300 women and kids the victims of his sexual needs and torture. A natural disaster in Colombia exposed the grave where Pedro had buried his victims, which left the citizens of the nation in a state of shock. He has now been held captive in a prison and will probably remain there till his death.

11. Dennis Rader
In a matter of 15 years, ranging from 1976 to 1991, Rader had slaughtered around ten people. Dennis also described the way the murders were committed, in his letters to the lawmen and police officials. He referred to himself as ‘BTK’ in these writings, which translated to ‘Bind Torture and Kill’. Dennis often carried a briefcase before executing a victim and its contents included guns and tapes amongst other things. Rader was finally nabbed in 2005 and sentenced to life imprisonment.

12. Jeffrey Dahmer
Dahmer is one of the few serial killers who found great joy in indulging in cannibalism. Dahmer was the mastermind behind 17 murders in the United States, all of these victims being either men or young boys. The victims were even raped and their body parts were consumed by Jeffrey. During his time in prison, one of the inmates brutally beat him up, leading to Dahmer’s death.

13. Ahmed Suradji
Indonesian national Ahmed was notorious in his nation for having killed 42 women in a decade. Most of the murders were caused due to strangling and the victims were buried. He was executed in 2008 for his inhuman acts.

14. Alexander Pichushkin
Alexander has also earned the title of being ‘The Chessboard Killer’ due to his intelligence and prowess at the sport. Pichushkin also aimed to butcher 64 people, which are equivalent to the number of squares on a chessboard. It is believed that Pichushkin has slaughtered around sixty people and the mortal remains of many of his victims were recovered from Moscow. Alexander was arrested in 2006 and is currently a prisoner.

15. Donald Gaskins
Gaskins is globally known for being the only man in history to have killed his fellow inmate, while spending a term in prison. Most of the people who had fallen prey to his atrocities were hitchhikers. Around eighty to ninety people were allegedly tortured and killed by this psychopath.

16. Yang Xinhai
In a matter of four years, this Chinese serial killer went on a rant, murdering more than sixty people and subjecting more than 23 other victims of his to rape. Many sections of the media had even dubbed him as the ‘Monster Killer’.

17. Randy Kraft
Kraft is currently serving a term in prison and has been awarded a death sentence. He has been held responsible for the more than 50 horrifying cases of rape and murder in the state of California alone.

18. Joachim Kroll
A citizen of German, Kroll was a psychopath who also practiced cannibalism. His trail of crime started with the cruel execution of a four-year-old and disposing her intestines in a sewage pipe. He was then found guilty of killing thirteen murders, which led to the judiciary slapping multiple life term sentences. Kroll succumbed to death within the confines of his jail cell in Germany in the year 1991.

19. Dennis Nilson
Dennis Nilson was a man who always remained aloof and had a bizarre way of getting rid of his loneliness. He used to grab the attention of young boys, take them home, subject them to different forms of torture and finally kill them. 20. Charles Ng & Leonard Lake
These men terrorized California by going on a murder spree, killing approximately 25 people in the region. Leonard Lake committed suicide after being nabbed by the police for his crimes, but Charles, who is of Chinese origin, is serving a life term in prison.

Aileen has been one of the most dreaded female killers in the world. The woman had butchered seven men in a span of one year. Wuornos later claimed that she murdered the men in self-defense to save herself from being raped. Nannie Doss or ‘giggling granny’, as she’s infamously recognized, had claimed the lives of several members of her own family. 24. Edmund Kemper
Having such a creepy family member would spell doom for the entire bloodline. Kemper made news for murdering his grandparents at the adolescent age of fifteen. He then chopped off the limbs of six female hitchhikers and even killed his own mother. Kemper finally landed in police custody in 1978 and was jailed for life.

25. Juan Corona
Touted as one of Mexico’s most notorious figures, Corona is responsible for the brutal killings of 25 individuals who worked at farms. The man is now eighty one years old and is serving a life sentence.
