A certain set of photographs belonging to a newborn baby shoot made it to the news some time in 2014, but I recently came across them and found them so heartwarming that I was determined to share it with you. Jamie Clauss is a photographer, but more importantly she is a mom. And that is why she chose to click pictures of families who want to cherish their parenthood for a long time to come. One evening after work, she got together with her neighbors, Chase and Jan Renegar, both of who are wedding photographers. All three decided to start off a new project which of course needed a newborn child as a model. Having no kids of their own, Jan suggested they dress up Snuggles as their baby. Now while most of you must be wondering who exactly Snuggles is, let me tell you that she is a rescued Jack Russell Terrier, who was adopted by the photographer couple. The terrier proved to be a perfect model, not only looking exceedingly pretty, but also displaying immense patience. The photo shoot, conducted by Clauss’ ‘Count It Joy Photography’, was a success, and the following pictures of Snuggles and his humans went viral on the internet.

This is the Jack Russell Terrier, Snuggles, wrapped up till her toes in a soft, white bath towel, just as any baby would be.
And the above picture shows how adorable a pup can be, chilling out in the swing that her parents made for her.
Chase and Jan, parents of Snuggles, reminisce about how their pet gave them absolutely no trouble and in fact fell asleep during the shoot.
Doesn’t this little Miss Doggie Universe look absolutely charming in her flowery headgear?
That’s her again, fast asleep and snoring, much to the amusement of the photographer trio.
The classic shot of three feet-under-blanket was reinvented, this time with two furry paws in the middle. (Oh! I forgot to mention the tail)

Two beautiful girls in a single frame make for a classic photograph.
The couple with their baby is quite an adorable click.
The couple also claims that they had a hard time not laughing when they saw how peacefully Snuggles had slipped into a slumber.
Oh finally, after a long time, those alert eyes that seem to be enjoying every bit of attention being showered on her.

These photographs are probably the best thing I’ve seen in a long time (besides my own pup). Clauss mentions that this attempt is best taken as a tongue-in-cheek, and the Renegars “treat their dogs like dogs”. So, while some may feel these pictures are absolutely enthralling, others might believe it is over-the-top, but in the end, each to their own.
